Beverage crop mainly consists of: tea, coffee and cocoa. Tea is an important beverage crop. It is labour intensive.
It needs about 125-250cm rainfall. It requires a cool climate and temperature about 25-30 degrees C. India is a major producer of tea, followed by China, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Japan, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
