Ustad Bismillah Khan was born in Indian classical music . he popularised the music instrument Shehnai in the world and help in enhancing the importance of folk music . he was born in a traditional music family. on August 15 1947 the day India got independence, Bismillah Khan perform at the Red Fort. this had a symbolic meaning that there lives a feeling of harmony between Hindu and Muslim. he was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2001.
