write about cell structure and its functioning with diagram
Answers
Answer:
A cell is a fundamental structural and functional unit of life. Thus a cell is capable of existing independently and performing all the vital functions. The structure of cell consists of following structures, namely-
- Cell wall - In plant cells only, outermost layer.
- Cell membrane - outermost layer in the animal cell.
- Endo-membrane system consisting of -The endoplasmic reticulum (ER){having smooth ER and rough ER}, Golgi apparatus, Lysosomes and Vacuoles.
- Mitochondria: as energy-producing organelle in the cell.
- Plastids: In plant cells only.
- Ribosomes
- Cytoskeleton of cell
- Cilia and Flagella
- Centrosome and centrioles.
- Nucleus.
All of these structures work under influence of one another causing functioning of the cell for vital processes.
Answer:
A cell consists of three parts: the cell membrane, the nucleus, and, between the two, the cytoplasm. Within the cytoplasm lie intricate arrangements of fine fibers and hundreds or even thousands of miniscule but distinct structures called organelles. They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions. Cells also contain the body's hereditary material and can make copies of themselves. Cells have many parts, each with a different function.
