Chandrashekhar Tiwari was born on 23 July 1906 in Bhavra village, in the present-day Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

" The contribution of young revolutionaries in Indian freedom struggles is clearly evident in history. The soul of these young martyrs shall lie in peace and immortal pleasure only when present youth of India shall strongly determine to pave the way for India's shining future and will ensure to desire India lost dignity and glory ".

This was in December 1921 when British policemen were beating volunteers of freedom movement with canes at one place in Varanasi volunteers were being dragged by those policemen Having seen these event young Chandrasekhar became very furious. He took a shoe and hurled it with anger towards policemen. It hit a policemen and blood spilled out from his head .All policemen suddenly scattered . They began to hunt for the person that hurled the stone. Meanwhile, Chandrasekhar escaped from the sit. But one policemen identified him to with 'Tilak' on his forehead. One police team chased for him entire day and ultimately they found him in his home .

Seeing patriotic environment in the house and sign of 'Tilak on his forehead policemen identified Chandrasekhar and arrested him.He was brought to police station and put behind the bars. Those were the days of cold.He was not offered any blanket or anything to put on during night . Temperature was slowly decreasing and cold had reached to its extreme. Police officers suddenly thought to check the prison. He was surprised to see beyond the bar that Chandrasekhar was nude except one strip of cloth tacked around his waist and was exercising pushups without any fear towards the police.

After many struggles he was dead on27 February , 1931 and earned place in hearts of every citizen of India for his contribution towards independence.

These were some of the struggles faced by Chandrasekhar in the revolutionary period.

Hope this helps!
