From the stem of cycas we obtain sago palm & fern palm.

Some important points:-

1. It is considered as the largest in plant kingdom.

2. In them two Cotyledons are seen.

3. Circinately coiled leaves are found in them.

4. Sperms are motile.

5. It is also called as Relic of past.

6. Female cone is not found in this.

7. Male gamete will be top shaped & is multiciliated.

8. In plant kingdom egg, male gamete, ovule & male cone is found in large amount.
