Adjective: modifies or describes a noun or a pronoun. Ex. happy person or  red lips

Conjunction: joins to words, sentences, phrases or clauses. Ex. bat and ball

Preposition: shows relation between a noun/pronoun and another word in the sentence. Ex: she is under the table

Interjection: shows excitement or sudden emotions. Ex: Hurray! or Wow!
