2) Political maps: Maps which shows the outlines of the countries / states

3) Topographical maps: They help to identify the terrain of the land with the help of altitude readings

4) Road/ Railways maps: They show the roads/ railway tracks of that particular region

There are many other maps too, like Resource maps, which shows the minerals and resources that can be found in a region, weather maps, vegetation maps etc.
