Diversity is a concept which signifies unity among individuals who have certain differences among them. These differences can be on the basis of culture, language, ideology, religion, sect, class, ethnicity, etc. Furthermore, the existence of this concept has been since time immemorial.

• ethnicity,
• gender,
• sexual orientation,
• socio-economic status,
• age,
• physical abilities,
• religious beliefs,
• political beliefs or
• other ideologies.
