Gabriel Okara burn in 24 April 1921.

He is a Nigerian poet and novelist whose work has been translated into several languages. After his first poem " the call of River nun" won an award at the Nigerian festival of arts in 1953 several of his poems where featured in the literary journal back Orpheus.

He died in 25 March 2019.

He is still alive in our souls forever..
