Harry James Potter was born on 31 July 1980, at Godric's Hollow in the West Country, England. He was famous because his parents were murdered by Voldemort when he was a baby and because of it, was often referred to as the "Boy Who Lived".
He was also the "Chosen One" and was the person who ultimately killed Voldemort at the age of 17.
I personally feel that even though Harry is the protagonist himself, he is very under-rated and a very rare amount of people say that Harry is their favourite character of the series.
Here's why I love Harry's character:
1. He went through a lot in his life but still didn't lose hope in any situation.
2. He also always had good intentions and showed innocence throughout.
3. He was very courageous, exactly how a true Gryffindor should be like.
4. He cared for people that loved him. Even if he had to sacrifice himself to save those people, he was ready for it. He would never betray his friends or closed ones.
