Answer: I mean, are we really "with" someone/ something? We disagree with people who love us most unconditionally, our parents, from time to time. Our closest friends cannot understand everything we think and feel. A book we used to love very much a year ago now seems so ordinary. Things and people change so fast that we own nothing. The person we love now is not the person we loved yesterday, last week, or last year. Nothing can really be ours, and we are alone.
I was once obsessed with "the one", who would understand, agree with me in everything, and never change. But such a person does not exist. At the end of the day, no matter how hard I try, people can just RELATIVELY understand me. It is always a 90%, and never 100%.
But I think realizing this helps me lower my expectations, the main cause of all disappointment. We constantly change, and we are imperfect.
