Christmas is celebrated in a traditional way in many households even today, especially across the western countries like America and England. My idea of a perfect festive celebration is to celebrate at home, just like the Crachits did. Each family member should be present, no matter where they work or study. (Even Martha came home for Christmas.) Everyone needs to do their bit and help mother prepare for the Christmas feast. The responsibilities could be divided amongst the family members, with someone looking after the decorations, someone else handling the cleaning and dusting, someone assisting mother in the kitchen and someone also volunteering to help clean up after the party. I would also like to have my aunts, uncles and cousins over. We could have lots of snacks around a bonfire, followed by a sumptuous dinner. The desserts would include the traditional Christmas cake and puddings, especially pecan pie. Other than that, the dress code would be red, with Christmas caps. There would also be a lot of singing and dancing. We would also observe a moment of silence, to be grateful to God for everything that He has given us.
