✯NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE (NIC) :
it is the premier communication network of the Government of India.

►The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is set up by the Indian government in 1976.
it has set up a national wide Information and Communication Technology network for IT services in the central government, the state/union territories, secretariats and almost all the 686 district collectorates of India.
this whole National wide communication network is designated as the government network.
NIC is also in charge of providing the information network which connects various law-making bodies throughout the country and collecting crucial data that helps the government in its socio-economic development plans.
