The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is an international organization of the nations, who have decided that they will not be with or opposed to any power block in the world. This movement has been launched by Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, former Egyptian President Gamal Abdul Nassar and President of Yugoslavia Josip Bros. Tito. It was established in April, 1961 and till 2012 there were 120 members.

According to the Havana Declaration-1979, the purpose of this organization is to ensure national independence, universality, regional unity and security of non-aligned nations during their war against their imperialism, colonialism, racism, apartheid and foreign invasions, military surrender, interference etc. To do. At the same time, it is to remain fair to the side of the power block or not in opposition. This organization represents approximately 2/3 of the total number of UN members and 55% of the world's total population. Especially in this country there are Third Worlds which are developing countries.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is a group of states that are not formally aligned with or against any major power block As of 2012, the movement has 120 members
The purpose of the organization has been enumerated as to ensure "the national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of non-aligned countries" in their "struggle against imperialism, colonialism,neo-colonialism, racism, and all forms of foreign aggression, occupation, domination, interference or hegemony as well as against great power and bloc politics," by Fidel Castro in the Havana Declaration of 1979.The countries of the Non-Aligned Movement represent nearly two-thirds of the United Nations' members and contain 55% of the world population. Membership is particularly concentrated in countries considered to be developing or part of the Third World, though the Non-Aligned Movement also has a number of developed nations such asArgentina, Chile and Saudi Arabia, the latter of which is a member of the G20 (India is a G20 member as well).
