Heya,

In cell biology, the nucleus (pl. nuclei; from Latin nucleus or nuculeus, meaning kernel or seed) is a membrane-enclosed organelle found in eukaryotic cells. Eukaryotes usually have a single nucleus, but a few cell types, such as mammalian red blood cells, have no nuclei, and a few others have many.

Hope this helps... : )

NUCLEUS ☺

=> Nucleus is present in all eukaryotic cells except in RBC of mammals and phloem sieve cells.

=> Nucleus is nearly spherical in shape and covered by double layered membrane called nuclear membrane.

=> The gaps in the nuclear membrane are called nuclear pores which helps in exchange of substances between nucleus and cytoplasm.

=> Nucleus is filled with nucleoplasm.

=> Dark staining body inside the nucleus is called nucleolus .

=> Nucleus contains highly coiled genetic material called chromatin which converts into chromosomes during cell division

=> nucleus controls the cell .
