Oil Spills frequently kill marine mammals such as Dolphines,whales,seals and sea otters oil coats the fur of otters and seals leaving them vulnerable to hypothermia.Even when marine escape immediate effects,an oil spill can damage by contaminating their food supply.  

Oil Spills are generally releasing of liquid petroleum hydrocarbon into environment,especially the marine ecosystem due to human activity ,and is a form of pollution.
