at the time of partition Bengal was the biggest pregnancy of British India which compressed Bihar and part of odisha. the British argued for dividing Bengal for reason of administrative convenience.but it was a totally false argument in fact the partition of Bengal was closely tied to the interest of British officials and businessman.the British also wanted to curtail the influence of Bengali politicians and speed the Bengali people it was there for instead of revolving banaun Bengali area from the privacy they spread East Bengal and mergedwith Assam.
