The pituitary gland is a tiny organ , the size of a pea , found at the base of brain , it produces many hormones that travel throughout the body , directing certain processes or stimulating glands to produce other hormones . Also known as the MASTER GLAND .
They produce the following hormones :
• FOLLICLE-STIMULATING HORMONE
• THYROID-STIMULATING HORMONE
• LUTEINIZING HORMONE
• ADRENOCORTICOTROPIC HORMONE
