write about position and protection of heart and wirite about the structure of heart
Answers
The Heart is a hollow muscle, in the middle left of the chest, that pumps blood to different parts of the body. A muscular wall, called Septum , divides the heart length-wise into its left and right sides. A valve divide each side into two chambers : an Upper atrium and a lower ventricle. The heart is protected by rib cage, This rib cage 24 bones, each side of rib cage contains 12 bones.
When the heart muscles contract, they squeeze the blood through the atria and then throw the ventricles. Oxygenated blood, from the lungs, flows into left atrium and then to all parts of the body. Deoxygenated blood, returning from the body, flows into the right atrium and then to lungs for oxygenation.
⭐ Septum : A muscular wall, that divide the heart into two Chambers is known as Septum.
⭐ Name the Two Blood Vessels.
There are two blood vessels, namely they are as follows :
- Arteries : It carry oxygen rich blood, from the heart, to all parts of the body. As blood flows through the arteries at a high pressure.
- Veins : It carry oxygen rich blood from all parts of the body, and it comes to the Heart.
(★ capillaries : This is a a small tube like structure which is used to connect the artery and veins. )

What actually the heart is and its position ?
Heart is a muscular organ that is located in the chest cavity and is tilted slightly towards the left.
It is a pumping organ of the body that works non-stop throughout the life and pumps blood to all parts of the body through blood vessels.
Structure of the heart
- The heart is enclosed in a double membrane called pericardium.
- It is divided into four chambers -
- The two upper chambers are called auricles
- The two lower chambers are called ventricles.
- Spetum - The left side of the heart is completely seperated from the right side by a partition, called septum.
Septum prevents the mixing of oxygenated blood with deoxygenated blood.
- There are valves between the auricles and ventricles on each side but not between two auricles or two ventricles.
- The right auricle opens in the right ventricle and the left auricle opens into the left ventricle.
