The Preamble to Indian constitution is based on “Objective Resolution” of Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru introduced an objective resolution on December 13, 1947 and it was adopted by Constituent assembly on 22 January 1947.

Preamble : preamble is a statement in constitution which describes about the introduction of country's constitution.

Indian Preamble : We the people of India having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign socialist secular democratic and Republic to secure all its citizens. Liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;Equality of status and opportunity; and to promote among them all;Fraternity, assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation ;
In our Constituent Assembly this, twenty sixth day of November 1949 do hereby Adopt, Enact and Give to ourselves this Constitution.

In our Preamble of India. The word SOVEREIGN describes about India's sovereignty. As, it is free from any other foreign power.

The word Socialist describes about socialism in India.India shows the democracy in preamble as it mentioned democratic and Republic.

The preamble also describes liberty which mean freedom. Fraternity, Equality etc...This Preamble shows that India is a largest democratic country.
