write about Shylock's character in merchant of Venice. Sketch and bring out the logic of his hating Christians and Antonio in particular.

Shakespeare has very wisely framed the character of Shylock.In the entire play,he acted as a villain .But if we look from a logical point of view, then we will find him partially wrong.He had malicious idea of killing Antonio,as he insulted him with vulgar words. Shylock was doing partially wrong because the agreement said that he could take 24 pounds of flesh from the heart part of Antonio ,and that's what he wanted to do.But the way of proceeding was wrong.
the hatred of Shylock towards Antonio and other Christians was liable because it was because of them only that the rights of Shylock and other Jews was restricted
