shylock was seen lamenting over the flight of his daughter Jessica with a Christian namely Lorenzo. He called upon the Duke to search for her and was seen howling in the streets if Venice for his daughter and all the jewels and ducats she ran away with. It was unclear what hurt shylock more, the loss of Jessica or the ducats. He became excited and furious with grief and despair. He vent out an exhibition of passionate excitement and anger which was strange , excessive and frequently changing. In scene 1 of act 3 we see shylock sent Tubal to Geneo to search for his daughter. He gets to know about how she was spending money everywhere she went but couldn't be tracked down. Shylock was further seen lamenting the loss of a diamond that costed him two thousand ducats in Frankfurt. He feels it was a curse on the whole Jewish nation. He wished Jessica was dead at his feer with the jewels in her ear or dead in a coffin with the ducats. He griefs because Jessica has taken a lot of riches with her and now more money is being spent to search for her. Shylock feels he was the only one shedding tears and sighing and also that all misfortune haa fell on his shoulders. This is how shylock reacted to his daughters flight.
