Dear friend

Sickle cell anaemia is an autosomal recessive disease which shows it's transmission from parents to offspring. It is controlled by a two different alleles out of which only Hbs Hbs are sickle cell anaemia affected. In the disease the shape of RBC changes from normal disc shape to concave pointed shaped. It occurs due to low oxygen tension available to RBC.

The disease occurs only when both I the alleles are homozygous but carrier of the disease also can pass the disease to nezt progeny as there are 50% chances OF mutant gene to pass on to next progeny.
