Solar cooker is a type of device which uses sunlight to run and work and heats,cooks,pasteurize food or liquids.It converts sunlight into heat energy.

solar cooker uses the light energy from sun ( SOLAR ENERGY ) to cook food. solar cooker does has some silver surface around in an elliptical path surrounding, to focus maximum heat to it. This will heat up the food inside the cooker. once the heat get inside the cooker, it wont be leaving to surrounding. They will be trapped inside the vessel . 
The solar cooker is an effective way to cook food without the use of fuels. It will help us to save our cooking gas which is a bit costly and aint so available. But the problem with solar cooker is that we wont be able to use them throughout the year. We need direct sunlight to make them work
