Both Firdous Kanga and Stephen are extraordinary people because they are disabled. Stephen Hawking is one of the greatest scientists of our time. He suffers from a form of paralysis that confines him to a wheelchair, and allows him to ‘speak’ only by punching buttons on a computer, which speaks for him in a machine-like voice. Firdaus Kanga is a writer and journalist who lives and works in Mumbai. Kanga was born with ‘brittle bones’ that tended to break easily when he was a child. Like Hawking, Kanga moves around in a wheelchair.

Stephen Hawking:

• A physicist, author, and cosmologist Stephen William Hawking is an undeniable name in the field of science for his great contributions. Suffered the slow progression of a disease of motor neurons he lived a challenging life fighting against the paralysis.
• His great works include- the theorem of gravitational singularity, the theory of black hole or Hawking radiation, etc. He wrote books on cosmology, such as- Sunday Times, A Brief History of Time, etc. He died in the year 2018 on 14th March.  

Firdaus Kanga:

• A London based Indian actor and author, Firdaus Kanga has a little but important contribution to the world of literature. He has written an extract on Stephen Hawking in his book on travel named, “Heaven on Wheels”.
• A semi novel of autobiography named “ Trying to Grow”  which was later converted into a film titled ‘Sixth Happiness’ and he also starred in it.
