Facts About Temperature:

  • To measure temperature there are three scales these includes Kelvin scale (kelvin), Celsius Degree (oC), Fahrenheit (oF)

  • The S.I Unit of temperature is Kelvin.

  • The thermometer showing the Celsius scale range from 0 degree to 100 degree Celsius.

  • 0 degree Celsius is the freezing point of water and 100 degree Celsius is the boiling point of water.

  • The Fahrenheit scale represents from 32 degree to 212 degree.

  • We can calculate the Fahrenheit by knowing the degree in Celsius with the following formula.

\boxed{F = \frac{9}{5}(C) + 32 }

  • We can calculate celsius value from the kelvin scale using the formula.

\boxed{ K=  C + 273.15}

  • Negative values for temperatures are possible in the celsius scale but it is not possible in the kelvin scale.
