A coastal plain is a flat, low-lying piece of land next to the ocean.

The coastal plains of India can be seen running along the Arabian Sea on the West (western coastal plains) and Bay Of Bengal on the East ( eastern coastal plains).

The Western Coast consists of 3 parts- Konkan Coast, Kannad Plain and Malabar Coast. The Eastern Coast consists of - Northern Circas and Coromandal Coasts.
