From this discovery, a new pharmaceutical industry developed and to this day, his original discovery is credited with saving millions of lives. For his efforts, Alexander Fleming(along with two fellow scientists) received the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1945.

Alexander Fleming (6august 1881- 11 March 1955)
He was physician, microbiologist, pharmacologist. He discovered enzyme lysozyme in 1923 and world's first antibiotic substance benzyl penicillin (penicillin G)from the mould penicillium notatum in 1928. he wrote many articles on bacteriology, immunology,and chemotherapy.
