India has played the biggest role in metallurgy. India was the first country to develop production of Zinc. Our ancestors at Zawar Mines , Rajasthan developed a technology to condense Zinc vapors and utilise it for domestic purpose. Zinc was exported to west where it was named as Malabar Lead.
