"Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) is the principles given to the states by the constitution of India to frame the laws and policies of the state.
These guidelines are contained in Part IV from Article 36 to Article 51 of the constitution.
These Directive Principles of state policy are classified into
I. Gandhian Principles – reflects programme of reconstruction during national movement by Gandhi
II. Socialistic Principles – reflects the ideology of socialism
III. Liberal-Intellectual Principles – reflects the ideology of liberalism.
