First World war... The war is in the period between 1914 to 1919. The war had an bad effect but also had a developmental effect on the participants and world itself. League of Nations were established after the war. Humiliating Treaties were signed between the defeated nations and the Allied nations. As there were new discoveries of continents in the world, Countries wanted to expand their areas. As there were trade between eastern and western, the Balkan region gained importance because it was the land route to the Eastern countries. Austria captured Bosnia Herzegovina. But a Serbian nationalist murdered the Austrian king ArchDuke Francis Ferdinand. This led to the immediate cause of the war. German had pact between Austria ann Italy. Austria declared war on Serbia. Russia supported Serbia. Hence, Germany said to retreat to the Russian empire but Russia didnt hold back. Germany started War with Russia. Later on, France entred with the side of Russia. There was a pact between England, France and Russia.But Later on Italy, who was supposed to enter in the war in the side of Germany entered the war in the side of Allied nations. Hence, everyone got involved. German king Kaisar Wilhelm II defeated Belgium, France, Russia and most of the other nations until it faced America. German submarines sank a ship named Luistania which had American passengers on board. America defeated Germany. As a result the First World war came to an end. Treaty Of Versailles was signed between Germany and Allied powers. It was an unjust and humiliating treaty imposed on the Germans.
