The world of Himalaya mean ' home of snow ' . the Himalaya extend from over 1,500 miles ( 2400 km) . from Indus valley in the West and the Bramaputra valley in the east. They are between 100 and 250 km wide. Many of the mountain peak are scared to the people who live in the surrounding areas Hindu and Buddhist pilgrim go there and pray to God.

The Himalaya belong to the youngest mountain range in the world. Almost every type of climate can be found in the different altitudes of the mountain range.
