The shivalik hills . also known as Churia Hills are the mountain range of the outer Himalayan that stretches from the Indus River about 2,400km eastwards close to Brahmaputra River . it is 10 -15km wide with a average altitude of 1,500 - 2000 m (4,900 -6,600 ft) .
