The industrial pollution control along the rivers and lakes

  • Adopting new technology, efficient training of employees for safe use, and development of better technology for disposal of waste, and being more conscientious about the use of raw materials can help control industrial pollution at the source.
  • Avoid disposing of any solid waste in water streams because doing so impedes water flow and causes pollution. Avoid releasing construction waste into the river. Use organic growing practises and avoid using pesticides and other herbicides. Avoid releasing harmful chemicals and oils into storm drains or rivers.
  • The five types of industrial pollution are- I Air pollution, (ii) Water pollution, (iii) Land pollution, (iv) Noise pollution and (v) Thermal pollution.
  • Pollution of industrial waste water caused by the discharge of harmful chemicals and substances into water, making it unsuitable for consumption and for other purposes.
  • The industry should implement ZLD System (Zero Liquid Discharge) in their unit, which would reduce water pollution to a great extent. I think we can control this by making sure we treat all our waste and effluent before discharging it into the water bodies and environment.
