Answer:

Hope this helps u buddy

Explanation:

Linnaeus placed all the living organisms into two kingdoms. The two major kingdoms are kingdom Plantae for plants and kingdom Animalia for animals. This two kingdom classification laid the base for modern classification and was quite a reasonable at that period of time, plants and animals in this system could be very clearly distinguished.

Plants were fixed, stationary in the soil, they absorb water for growth and they could prepare their own food.

On the other hand, animals are capable of movement and they got nutrition by feeding on other plants and animals for their growth and survival. These were the differences that lead to the distinction of plants and animals in the two kingdom classification.

Kingdom Plantae :-

  • Plantae is the plant kingdom which contains all plants on the earth. They are multicellular eukaryotes.
  • Characteristically, they contain a rigid structure that surrounds the cell membrane known as the cell wall.
  • Plants also have a green colored pigment known as chlorophyll that is quite vital for photosynthesis.

Kingdom Animalia :-

  • All animals are members of the Kingdom Animalia, also called Metazoa.
  • This Kingdom does not contain prokaryotes (Kingdom Monera, includes bacteria, blue-green algae) or protists (Kingdom Protista, includes unicellular eukaryotic organisms).
