I live near the mouths of rivers in the tropics

where the water is part salt part fresh. I like

slow rivers with connecting lakes where the

water is sheltered and calm. I eat vegetation,

overhanging leaves and plants. Mangroves are

delicious. I feed at night, travel in the late

afternoon and rest during the hot day I am

a bit fussy about my water. I give birth to

calves.

Threats: they are hunted for meat, skin and

bones. They get caught in shark traps and nets.

Wetlands are being drained for farming.

The lifestyle of Cheetah:-

• Cheetah is the most active during the day out of all the cats. It rarely hunts at night and mostly rests during the heated part of the day, frequently under the shade of a tree. A female Cheetah with cubs travels about 2 miles in a day whereas, a male may travel for about 4 miles.

The lifestyle of Snakes:-

• Snakes live in a broad variety of environments including forests, swamps, grasslands, deserts and in both fresh and salt water. Few are active at night whereas, others are active during the day. Snakes are predators and eat a large variety of animals, comprising rodents, insects, birds' eggs and young birds.
