 <b>Answer :-

Tethys was a shallow sea than used to flow between the Gondwanaland and the Angaraland, millions of years ago . All the rivers from both the lands used to flow into Tethys, thus depositing silt and sediment. Slowly, the Indian plate started moving towards the Eurasian plate, resulting in the uprise of the silt and sediment and thus, the formation of the Himalayas. Thus, Tethys was located at the place where Himalayas are there at present.

Hope this helps,.
