School Game Federation of India

i). School Games Federation of India was established in 1954-55.

ii). It is recognised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Government of India.

iii). The SGFI is affiliated to Asian School Sports Federation and the International School Sports Federation. The main objective of SGFI is the development of games and sports at grass root level.

iv). SGFI organized highest number of disciplines on the record national school games.The discipline included are athletics, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, etc.

Head & Awards of winner

It is headed by Padmashree and Dronacharya award Sh. Satpal ji as Chairman and Dr. Avadh Kishore Mishra as Secretary General of School Games Federation of India.

SGFI Sports Technical Committee involves professionals in each discipline. It prepares a sports calendar in advance. All the players who get 1st, Ilnd, Illrd place get a National Scholarship.
