The people's movement was started by the people of Rajasthan who were engaged in public works department. These people strongly felt the right to look into the documents related to the public works,because they were being denied their full wages. When they wanted to see the records to claim their full pay, the government officials refused to show them the records on the ground that such records are government secrets. Luckily, an organisation called the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan(MKSS) rendered help to these people.
