Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. It's the smallest planet in our solar system after Pluto (which is no longer a planet). It's the second hottest planet after Venus. Mercury has no atmosphere and looks red because of the high concentration of iron oxide on it's surface. It's the fastest revoluting planet also.
