The Prime minister of india is chief of council of ministers. Coucil of ministers have executive power of country .

The Prime minister is selected by members of loksabha , the lower house of parliament, their are 543 loksabha seats constituencies , during election people select their representatives and these representatives select Prime minister.

The prime minister must be a member of any one of two houses either loksabha (lower house) or rajya sabha (upper house ) . The prime minister is head of government, and runs office with support of council of ministers.
