• During fission, the nucleus of the parent cell elongates and divides initially.

• Then a constriction starts to appear on the cell membrane, then the constriction starts widening

• And finally divides the parent cell into two almost equal halves or daughter cells.

• The daughter cells are identical to the parent cell.

• Example-

Lieshmania is a unicellular organism.

It has a wip like structure called FLAGELLUM at its end.

In lieshmania the splitting of parent cell during fission takes place in definite plane with respect to flagellum at its end.
