Right to be protected is a right provided to the consumers under the Consumers Protection Act.

Right to be protected in the light of Consumers Protection Act means that every consumer has a right to protect himself against any kind of discrimination or wrong done by the shopkeeper or the seller of the good or service.

If any shopkeeper or seller of a good or service does something wrong or dissatisfactory for the consumer and afterwards doesn't listen to the complaint of the consumer then the consumer can take action against that shopkeeper by filing a suit against him. In this way, the law protects the rights of the consumer.
