Explanation:

St. Francis Xavier played an important role in the Reformation and spread of the Catholic Faith in Christianity in the Eastern side of Asia. The reformation movement was in full swing in the West and at that time Fr. Ignatius Loyola started the Society of Jesus to carry on the Reformation activities.

'St. Francis Xavier' was the co-founder of the 'Society Of Jesus'. St. Francis Xavier played a major role in this and his aim was more to spread Christianity than the Reformation of the Catholic Churches.

His work on this activity was enormous and he was later given the status of a Saint. He died in Goa.
