Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose has always been a mystic figure in Indian history and politics. Much has been said about his suspicious disappearance but nothing has been recorded as a proof so far. This makes us more and more curious about his roles in India's Freedom Movement.

He did something that was even unimaginable by other politicians, leaders and crusaders. While princely states had their unorganized armies fighting with each other, he raised an army that consisted of soldiers from all races, religions, castes and creeds. The Azad Hind Fauj formed by him also had a women wing, that shows his visionary leadership.

He declared independence in his own way, raised an army, started its own currency, flag and what not - this might be merely symbolic but it sent shivers down the spine of British government as this ushered a wave of patriotism in people and they genuinely believed they are 'free folks'

His contribution in freedom struggle was a diplomatic course of action, he remained with congress for a long time, made the necessary decisions and then left it when it was right time to form an army. He wisely, profoundly, thoughtfully and foresightedly did what needs to be done for India's freedom.
