It is a tricky question you asked there because it's a question that cannot be answered here, properly, because there are so many success and failure. It will be a whole book. But to satisfy you, I will try to explain. You can categorize them. Like education system, gender equality, health care.. Etc. We have social issues like caste system, religion.. etc that we can count as failure, because it's a issue that we have still to overcome. List goes on . I hope it helps.
