1st part consists of 337 lines and was written in the year 1797 and its 2nd part consists of 337 lines which was written in 1800 after Coleridge returned from Germany.

After this there was downfall in his poetic ability and inspite of many efforts to complete the poem he couldn't do so.

Like other Romantic and talented poets, Coleridge often drew upon the supernatural themes in the poetry.

Both Kubla Khan and The Rime of the ancient Mariner are the most popular poem of this poet that incorporate the strange events, visions and even signs.

Due to this, Christable falls into the category.

Coleridge also sets supernatural and witch-like structure of Geraldine.
