Answers
Answer:
Because Population began growing rapidly in the Western world during the industrial revolution. The most significant increase in the world's population has been since the 1950s, mainly due to medical advancements and increases in agricultural productivity.
Answer:
At the initial stage of human settlements on the Earth the size of population was very small, about 10,000 years ago /8000B.C. the population was around 8million. The reasons behind this was due to low development of knowledge and also due to the prevalence of frequent famines and epidemics which resulted to large scale death of human beings as they didn't had the capacity to overcome this phenomenons.
However with learning of domestication of plants/agriculture led man to live a settled life and thus permanency in agriculture resulted to availability of food supply which led to the increase in number of population. As a result, the world's population reached 200million by the beginning of the Christian era(the period when Jesus Christ was born).
The population in the first decade of 19th century (approximately 1808) reached 1000 million(1billion).This increase in population took a rapid rise in the middle of the 20th century mainly the period from 1950-2000 the population reached to 6000 million (6billion).This period is therefore known as period of population explosion. The main factors responsible for this phenomenon were not only due to certainty in food supply but also due to advancement in medical science and overall development in the living conditions of human beings. Hence in year 2011 the world population reached to 7 billion and if this pattern of increase in population continues then it will result for great difficulty for the sustainance of human beings in this world.
