The Western Coastal Plains is a strip of coastal plain 50 kilometres in width between the west coast of India and the Western Ghats hills, which starts near the south of the Tapi River. The plains are located between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea

Western Coastal plains :-

1.They are divided into 3 parts :- Konkar coast , Kannad coast and Malabar coast .

2.The rivers flowing in this region forms estuaries.

3.The rivers don't have many distributaries that is why there volume is very high.

4.The rivers flows into Arabian sea.

5.The western coastal plains are parallel to Arabian sea and Western Ghats.
