A plastic is a poor conductor, and so this will reduce the amount of heat transfer via conduction. It also stops any gas from rising out of the flask and so it reduces heat transfer by convention.

hope it helps you

Answer:

thermoplastic is a material, usually a plastic polymer, which becomes more soft when heated and hard when cooled. Thermoplastic materials can be cooled and heated several times without any change in their chemistry or mechanical properties. When thermoplastics are heated to their melting point, they melt to a liquid.
